It is a great privilege to call myself a Goodwin Eagle!  I joined West Aurora School District 129 in the fall of 2013. I served as Assistant Principal at Hill, Greenman, and Goodwin Elementary Schools and am proud and humbled to now lead the Goodwin Eagles as building principal. My teaching experience includes 4th, 5th, 6th grade and Dean of Students within Chicago Public Schools.

I was born and raised in Michigan, however, I am a Hoosier at heart. I attended Indiana University to obtain my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Northeastern Illinois University to achieve my masters degree in Educational Leadership. I now reside in Oswego with my wife and two sons.

I look forward to the continued work with the students, families, and teaching staff this year at Goodwin and District 129 to promote a love of lifelong learning.

I am delighted to be the new assistant principal at Goodwin Elementary. Prior to coming to Goodwin, I served as the assistant principal at Greenman Elementary for 2 years. I have 10 years teaching experience as a fifth grade teacher, middle school math teacher and K-8 science coach. My varied teaching experience inspired me to pursue school leadership. However, I will always be a teacher at heart, and continually seek opportunities to get involved in the classroom.

My professional goal as an administrator is to provide all students with an excellent education and inspire a lifelong culture of collaboration, innovation, and leadership, not limited to the scope of academics. At Goodwin Elementary, my goal is to build trusting and respectful relationships with our students and staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy working out and spending time with my extended Irish family in the Chicagoland area.

It is my honor and pleasure to serve the Goodwin community, and I look forward to working as a team with you this year!
