JEFFREY HETRICK

It is a great privilege to call myself a Goodwin Eagle! I joined West Aurora School District 129 in the fall of 2013. I have served as assistant principal at Hill, Greenman, and Goodwin Elementary Schools and am proud and humbled to lead the Goodwin Eagles. My teaching experience includes 4th, 5th, 6th grade and dean of students within Chicago Public Schools.

I was born and raised in Michigan, however, I am a Hoosier at heart. I attended Indiana University to obtain my undergraduate degree in elementary education and Northeastern Illinois University to achieve my masters degree in educational leadership. I now reside in Oswego with my wife, three sons, and daughter.

I look forward to the continued work with the students, families, and teaching staff this year at Goodwin and District 129 to promote the joy, complexity, and curiosity of learning!

BRADLEY BREAKFIELD

I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal of Goodwin Elementary School and to be part of the West Aurora School District 129 community. I believe that strong relationships, high-quality instruction, and a supportive school culture are the foundation for student success. I look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of educational leadership roles with a focus on instructional improvement, school operations, and student achievement. My experience includes leading school improvement initiatives, supporting teachers through coaching and professional learning, developing systems to monitor student progress, and using data to inform decisions that benefit students. I am passionate about creating environments where students feel supported, educators feel empowered, and families are valued as partners in the educational process.

I believe every student deserves access to engaging learning experiences and the support needed to reach their full potential. By working collaboratively, we can continue building a positive school community that promotes academic growth, social-emotional development, and lifelong success.

I earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University.
