Mr. JEFFREY HETRICK
It is a great privilege to call myself a Goodwin Eagle! I joined West Aurora School District 129 in the fall of 2013. I have served as assistant principal at Hill, Greenman, and Goodwin Elementary Schools and am proud and humbled to lead the Goodwin Eagles. My teaching experience includes 4th, 5th, 6th grade and dean of students within Chicago Public Schools.
I was born and raised in Michigan, however, I am a Hoosier at heart. I attended Indiana University to obtain my undergraduate degree in elementary education and Northeastern Illinois University to achieve my masters degree in educational leadership. I now reside in Oswego with my wife, three sons, and daughter.
I look forward to the continued work with the students, families, and teaching staff this year at Goodwin and District 129 to promote the joy, complexity, and curiosity of learning!
MS. BRIANNA HEISLER
It is an honor to have the opportunity to enrich the educational journey of students at Goodwin Elementary School and to collaborate with outstanding educators.
I bring ten years of educational experience to my role of assistant principal, having served as a fifth-grade teacher, kindergarten through second-grade resource teacher, and case manager in Batavia Public School District 101. During this time, I created differentiated instruction content, implemented social-emotional learning curricula, and developed individualized plans to support student success. My leadership background encompasses roles on the student services leadership team, as a teacher mentor, and as a presenter for professional learning sessions.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in special education and elementary education, along with a Master of Arts in educational leadership, both from Aurora University.
I look forward to inspiring and supporting our students and staff, fostering a nurturing and innovative learning environment at Goodwin Elementary School.
